What Upstrike is

One plan. One team. Your whole site.

Most businesses pay a host for a server, a plugin company for security, a backup service, and a freelancer when something breaks. Nobody owns the whole site. We do.

Upstrike is a WordPress care company. Every plan includes managed WordPress hosting, daily updates with a visual check, nightly backups kept 14 days off the server, a real-time firewall with malware cleanup, uptime checks every minute, and free whole-site troubleshooting when something goes wrong. Higher plans add development time from our team each month, from one hour to eight.

We only work on WordPress. That is a deliberate choice. Knowing one platform deeply means we have usually seen your problem before, and it means every tool we build, from the dashboard to the update checks, is built for WordPress and nothing else.

The name says what we do. Up: your site stays online, fast and current. Strike: when something does break, it is fixed at the cause, quickly, by someone who has seen it before.

Our customers are mostly small and mid-sized businesses whose site brings in leads or sales and who do not want to think about it. If that is you, the plan is simple: you check out, we move your site in free, and from then on it is handled.

How we work

The way we would want our own site looked after.

A real person reads every request

No bots sorting tickets, no auto-replies that pretend to be people. Someone on the team reads what you wrote, looks at your site, and answers the same business day, usually much sooner.

Plain-English statuses

Every request has a status you can understand at a glance: being worked on, waiting on your response, ready to close. Each change is timestamped. You never have to ask "any update?"

Nothing hidden in the dashboard

Your sites, backups, uptime, requests, hours used and billing are all in one place. If we did something to your site, it is logged there. If we charged you, the reason is next to the charge.

No contracts

Plans are monthly. Cancel from your dashboard whenever you like, and we help you move out at no charge with a full backup of your site. We would rather earn next month than lock it in.

30-day refund

If the first month is not what you expected, tell us within 30 days of your first payment and we refund it. No form to fill in and no call to sit through.

We fix it, not just report it

Monitoring that only emails you is not care. When something breaks, our team gets the alert and starts on it. You find out when it is fixed, with a note on what caused it.

A typical month

Most of the work you never have to think about.

Here is what actually happens to a site on any plan, whether or not you send us a single request.

1Every minute

Watching

Uptime is checked every minute from outside your server. The firewall screens every request. If the site goes down or something gets through, our team gets the alert, not your customers.

2Every day

Updating

Plugins, themes and WordPress are updated daily. Your key pages are checked before and after each round. Anything that changes gets rolled back and the cause fixed before we try again.

3Every night

Backing up

Files and database are backed up overnight, stored off the server and kept for 14 days. Restoring one is free and takes minutes, though most months you will never need it.

4Every month

Reporting

A plain-English report lists the updates installed, backups taken, attacks blocked, issues fixed and hours used. If you sent requests, each one is there with what we did and when.

When you do send a request, it lands in your dashboard with a status from the moment it arrives, and a person picks it up the same business day.

Where we are

Temecula, California.

We work US business hours, Pacific time, and that is when you will hear from a person. Monitoring and security run around the clock, and emergencies like a site being down are handled whenever they happen.

What we believe

Four principles, and we hold ourselves to them.

1

Fix the cause

Restoring a backup gets a site up. It does not stop the same thing happening tomorrow. When something breaks, we find out why, fix that, and tell you what it was. Rollbacks buy time; they are not the fix.

2

Show the work

Every update, backup, scan and change is logged in your dashboard, and a plain-English report goes out every month. If you cannot see what we did, you should not have to take our word for it.

3

No scare tactics

We will not send you a red alert to sell you something. Security problems are described as they are, with what we did about them. "Your site is under attack" emails are a sales technique, not support.

4

No upsells for things a plan already includes

Malware cleanup, troubleshooting, restores, moving in and moving out are included. You will never be quoted for them. The only extra charges are more sites at $79 a month and development past your plan's hours at $150 an hour, always with an estimate first.

How plans are built

Same care on every plan. The difference is how much we build for you.

We do not sell hosting by gigabytes or visits, and we do not hold security back for a higher tier.

Every plan starts from the same base: hosting, updates, backups, security, monitoring, support and troubleshooting. That base is WP Shield at $99 a month, and it is complete on its own for a site that rarely changes.

The plans above it add development time from our team each month. WP Boost at $199 includes 1 hour, WP Pro at $349 includes 3 hours with a dedicated point of contact, and WP Scale at $599 includes 8 hours with strategy calls. Those hours are for changes to your site: new sections, fixes to how something works, a refresh of a page, a new form. Small updates on Boost and above do not count against them.

More sites on the same account are $79 a month each and share the plan's hours. Work beyond your hours is $150 an hour, and we send an estimate before starting. You can change plans from your dashboard at any time. Upgrades are prorated and take effect right away. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period.

The first payment on any plan is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. There is no contract and no cancellation fee.

Full plan details and a side-by-side comparison are on the pricing page.

How to reach us

Pick whichever is easiest.

Customers get the fastest answer through the dashboard, because the request lands next to your site and its history. Everyone else, email or call.

If your site is down right now and you are not a customer yet, email or call anyway. We will tell you honestly whether we can help and what it would involve.

Is Upstrike a hosting company or an agency?

Both, and neither in the usual sense. We host your site because looking after it properly requires controlling the server. We build and fix things because that is what a site needs over time. The product is the care, billed monthly, with hosting and development inside it.

Who actually works on my site?

WordPress developers on our team. Not a call centre and not an outsourced ticket queue. On WP Pro and WP Scale you have a dedicated point of contact who knows your site.

Do you build new websites?

Our plans are for looking after existing WordPress sites, and the development hours cover changes, fixes and refreshes within them. A full new build is quoted separately, with an estimate first, and then lives on a plan like any other site.

Do you only work with WordPress?

Yes. If your site is on another platform we are not the right fit, and we will say so rather than take the payment.

What happens to my site if I cancel?

You tell us where it is going, we help you move it there at no charge, and you get a full backup. Your site stays up with us until the move is confirmed. We never hold a site or a domain.

How do you handle my logins and data?

Logins you give us are stored encrypted and used only by the people working on your site. Backups are encrypted in transit and stored off the server. We do not sell or share customer data, and you can change any login the moment a job is finished.

Do you offer a free trial?

No, because moving your site in is real work. Instead the first payment on any plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee. If it is not right, say so within 30 days and we refund it.
