WooCommerce maintenance that protects checkout.
Every WooCommerce, plugin and theme update tested on a staging copy of your store first. Orders, payments and emails checked after. Hosting, security and backups included.
Your store keeps selling on the left. Every WooCommerce, plugin and theme update is installed on a staging copy first and a test order runs through it. Only a passing update reaches the live store.
A store breaks in ways a brochure site never does.
A broken contact form costs you a lead. A broken checkout costs you every sale until someone notices. These are the parts that fail most often.
Checkout
Checkout is a chain of plugins, your theme and WooCommerce itself. One update to any link can leave the Place Order button doing nothing, with no error shown to you.
Payment gateways
Stripe, PayPal, Square and the rest ship their own plugins on their own schedules. A gateway update that expects a newer WooCommerce can fail quietly at the moment of payment.
Shipping and tax plugins
Rate calculators, label printers and tax services pull live data from outside your site. When their plugin or their API changes, carts show no shipping options or the wrong tax.
Theme and WooCommerce version pairs
Store themes override WooCommerce templates. When WooCommerce changes a template and your theme still carries the old one, product pages, cart or checkout render wrong.
A heavier database
Orders, sessions, customer records, abandoned carts and action logs grow every day. Without cleanup, admin slows down and product pages start to lag.
Order emails
Order confirmations and admin notices go out through your site's mail setup. A hosting change, a domain record or a plugin can stop them without stopping the orders.
Every update tested on staging. Every order flow checked after.
Standard WordPress maintenance checks that your pages still look right. Store maintenance checks that your store still sells.
Staging test of every WooCommerce update
WooCommerce, gateway, shipping, tax and theme updates are installed on a staging copy of your store first. We look at the shop, a product page, the cart and checkout before the same update touches your live store.
Order-flow check
We place a real test order on your live store, pay it through your gateway in test mode or with a refunded card, and confirm the order appears, stock moves and both order emails arrive. Then we cancel it.
Database cleanup for stores
Expired sessions, old abandoned carts, completed scheduled actions, transients and post revisions are cleared. Orders and customers are never touched. Your admin and your product pages stay quick.
Image and speed work on product pages
Product photos are resized and compressed, gallery scripts are loaded only where they run, and caching is tuned so logged-in shoppers and carts still work. Faster product pages convert better.
Card details never touch your server when your gateway is set up the right way, and we keep it that way. Your store runs on its own isolated space with free SSL, a real-time firewall, login protection, nightly backups stored off the server and kept 14 days, and uptime checks every minute. We do not store card numbers, and we flag any plugin that tries to.
Getting started takes one message.
After checkout you tell us where your store lives. We take it from there, and your dashboard shows each step as it happens.
- WordPress admin login for the store
- Current hosting login or SFTP details, so we can move it
- Which payment gateways you use and whether test mode is available
- Any shipping, tax or inventory services connected to the store
- Your busiest hours, so updates and the move happen outside them

These are the five store problems we see most. Each one has a plain-English guide, and on any plan we fix the cause as part of free whole-site troubleshooting.
WP Pro for most stores. WP Boost is the minimum.
WP Shield is built for sites that rarely change. A store changes every day, so it starts at WP Boost. Here is why most stores land on WP Pro.
WP Pro, $349 a month
Three hours of development each month is what a working store actually uses: a gateway settings change, a new shipping zone, a product template tweak, a coupon rule, a fix after a theme update. You also get a dedicated point of contact who knows your store and priority handling when checkout matters most.
- Staging test of every update, order-flow check after
- 3 hours of development each month
- A dedicated point of contact
- Priority handling
WP Boost, $199 a month
The minimum for a store. You get WooCommerce store care, meaning staging tests, order-flow checks and store database cleanup, plus one hour of development a month. It fits a small catalog with a simple checkout that rarely needs changes. If you ask for more than an hour of work most months, WP Pro costs less than paying the difference at $150 an hour.
Get WP BoostWP Scale, $599 a month
For stores that keep adding: subscriptions, memberships, new product types, integrations with your inventory or accounting software. Eight hours of development a month, first place in the queue and strategy calls about what to build next.
Get WP ScaleNot sure? Start on WP Boost. Upgrades are prorated and take effect right away from your dashboard.
A plugin bundle vs. a freelancer vs. Upstrike.
A security-and-backup plugin bundle, a freelancer on retainer, or a care plan that includes hosting. What you actually get from each.
| What you get | A WooCommerce plugin bundle | A freelancer | UPSTRIKE |
|---|---|---|---|
| Updates tested on staging first | Automatic, untested | If you ask and pay | Every update |
| Test order after updates | No | Sometimes | Every time |
| Hosting | Separate bill | Separate bill | Included |
| Who notices a broken checkout | Your customers | You, then you email them | Our monitoring and checks |
| Backups with order data | On the same server | Depends on the person | Nightly, off the server, 14 days |
| Fixing a plugin conflict | Not included | Hourly | Included on every plan |
| Development time | None | Hourly or retainer | 1 to 8 hours a month, then $150 an hour |
| Availability | Software only | One person, when free | Same business day, usually sooner |
| Commitment | Yearly licences | Varies | Monthly, cancel any time |

See plansDo you test updates on a staging copy of my store?
Yes, on WP Boost and above. WooCommerce, gateway, shipping, tax and theme updates go to a staging copy first. We check the shop, a product page, the cart and checkout there before the same update goes to your live store.
How do you check orders without charging real cards?
Most gateways offer a test mode or test card numbers. Where yours does not, we place a small real order and refund it straight away. Either way the order is cancelled once we have confirmed it reached your admin, moved stock and sent both emails.
Will updates happen while customers are shopping?
Updates to your live store run in the quiet window you give us. Staging tests happen before that and do not touch the live store at all. A failed test means the update waits until we have fixed the cause.
What if an update breaks checkout anyway?
We roll the update back first, so your store is selling again within minutes, then find and fix the cause before trying again. Fixing it is included on every plan. Nightly backups stored off the server are the last line if anything else goes wrong.
Do you work with my payment gateway?
Yes. We maintain stores using Stripe, PayPal, Square, Authorize.net and other gateways that ship WooCommerce plugins. Switching or adding a gateway is development work and comes out of your plan's hours.
Can you host a store with a large catalog?
Yes. We size the server to your store rather than selling fixed tiers, and adjust it as your catalog and traffic grow. Very large or high-traffic stores fit WP Pro or WP Scale best so the development hours cover the ongoing work.
Is my customer data safe when you move or back up the store?
Backups are encrypted in transit and stored off the server for 14 days. Card numbers never sit in your database when your gateway is configured correctly, and we check that during the move. Access to your store is limited to the people working on it.
Can I start on WP Shield for a store?
We ask you not to. WP Shield does not include staging tests or order-flow checks, and a store needs both. WP Boost is the minimum for any WooCommerce site. You can move between plans from your dashboard at any time.
Store care, hosting and support, one monthly price.
